my dr. apt. went VERY well today, had some questions, got some answers, and now I feel good about everything. I asked if my T4 levels were good along with my TSH levels, and they've been really good, last time a little on the high side, but still in normal range...I have to get my blood tested again in the next couple days, hopefully it's still in the normal range!
I also asked if I would get another ultrasound because of my hypo and my gest. diabetes, and he said I would get another one for the diabetes, but not for the hypo, which makes sense, because the most important time for your levels to be in the good is at the beginning of the pregnancy and everything looked fine on our last ultrasound...so I will get to see our little bean again around 36-38 weeks which is in 7-8 weeks!!! Plus he said I would have gotten an ultrasound around then anyway because baby J was 10lbs when born, so he wants to see how big this baby is a few weeks from delivery.
it's so nice to hear that my OB is not worried about my diabetes at this point...and that I'm a person that he trusts with my numbers! I have only gained 14lbs so far, and he wants me to gain another 10 in the next 10 weeks. At this rate hopefully I do gain the 10lbs, because that would put me at 24lbs for the whole pregnancy, and he wants me to be at 25-40, but he says I am still good for weight gain.
I don't have anything to worry about, for now!

On rotation!
I can't believe I am 28 1/2 weeks pregnant. I Had my first apt. with one of the other doctors today, and he used an antique doppler, so it doesn't tell you the heart rate, but that's alright, he said it sounded great!
He also said I am measuring a week behind, but that's how I've been measuring all a long from day 1, but that is also normal, or ok. I have put on 14lbs, up 2lbs from my last visit, which is good! That means I'm gaining the 1lb a week needed, and this is even swaying from my "diet" my numbers have been all normal, so I figured I could eat a little more and see what happened...and you know what? It's been fine, my glucose levels have been the same!
on a side note, the weather has been less than acceptable for me this time of year. I thought it was spring, not winter still! Temps being in the 30's and low 40's isn't spring! I would love to be able to go for more walks with my son, but it would have to warm up 15 degrees for it to be an enjoyable walk!
I have another apt. in 2 weeks and I get my thyroid levels checked again, hopefully they are still normal! I have been doing some research online and it looks like I have been pretty lucky in that department, because, most pregnancies with the mother that has hypothyroidism has to have her medication upped sometimes 20 to 50%, I haven't had to have mine changed AT ALL! But I do wonder if I will get to see my little bean again, to make sure everything is ok! I guess we'll have to wait and see!
